Help what shocks to buy

Plan on owning the car another 2 years. Currently 73k on stock shocks and struts.

Want to lower on a budget, between Eibach and H&R, but i'm fairly new to this.

I want my e90 to look less like a monster truck with the wheel gap, especially in the front but don't want to spend too much which is why i'm looking at the options I am.

Running RFT 18's which I just upgraded to from my 17's, don't plan on changing them.

Suggestions?

Also, the front looks fine, but the rear looks like it definitely needs spacers, recommendations?

*please ignore diff color center caps, currently have new ones on order *
thank you in advance

Bilstein B12 Pro kit if you need new shocks/struts anyway.

If you don't need to change out your shocks/struts, you could get lowering perches - a cheap way to lower your car.

Bilstein B12 pro kit. Get it from FCP Euro. Lifetime warranty and they price match any on-line vender. Also, you don't need the front bump stops. Bilstein has them built into the front shocks.

So, you just need strut bearings in the front and upper and lower upper shock mounts in the back and maybe lower, lower mounts mount as well.

Total might run you about $1050.00; make sure you get the special strut sockets. ECS tuning has them. I don't remember what sizes I used; there are plenty of DIY's on Bilstein B12 Pro kits on this forum.

Just understand that they will take about 2000 miles to be fully broken in.

Don't get me wrong, Bisltein b12 is a great product but another product to consider at an even lower price point is the ST Coilovers and you'll be able to adjust the ride height.

If not B12 or ST.

I like the Koni Yellow for adjustability and H&R will drop the car more then Eibach pro kit so it's entirely your choice.

It really depends on budget and goals at the end of the day.

If you have MSport then Eibach would be a really conservative drop. H&R is a "much bigger" drop. I noticed you said you would keep it for 2 years. New shocks would be nice if you do the springs at the same time. But it depends on your budget.

one thing to keep in mind is that with the rft tires any increase in firmness from springs and dampers will make your ride feel more harsh. if set on rft I would stay with stock suspension.

HR Sport Springs + Koni Yellow Adjustable struts/shocks. I'm very happy with this combination.

With the least money possible, I would go with koni strt kit. It's relatively inexpensive and it's well known brands.

Good info, I'm in the market as well and checking options. I currently have 113K on oem sport susp. (226) and I really have grown to love this setup. Mine is mainly a DD but I will probably start autox'ing it once in a while. My upper mounts are shot and one my front struts is leaking as well...considered just replacing w.same or newer sport opt. but I'm getting close to the cost of ST/B12 so minus whale.

That's probably our biggest seller/combo.

You can get the bmw performance suspension/springs for $1260. Seems like a much better value than the options mentioned above. Mounts, bump stops and hardware included. $1260 was for an E92, the E90 might be less.

Where do they sell the BMW Yellow performance springs. I feel like those would be a good combo with the Koni Yellow Adjustable struts/shocks

If you're only keeping the car for two more years, leave it alone.
