I have upgraded my phone ...
iPhone 6s, My phone does connect but cant get the menu up, If someone calls me it shows on the idrive but thre is no menu to acces phone shows its connected but cant acces the menu on idrive even it;s connected it says pair it ...LOL

I tried to update my software from BMW site after inserting my VIN number i got the software on my USB once i insert the usb in the centre console under the arm rest it's keep saying no usb found with software once i get to the update software menu...

When i connect my iPod back to the same usb it connects straight away...

Any Ideas..

Im new to all BMW so I'm not the best qualified to answer your question. However, reading on here I'm sure the usb connection in the armrest is that for music etc. To update the car you should have another usb port in the glovebox, thats the one you need to use buddy. Well thats how I've read it.

And how are you connecting your phone to the car? via a lead or bluetooth?

No, he got that right. Software in Combox is to be updated using USB in center armrest.

jharar , how is your USB stick formatted? It must be FAT32. Copy the file on the stick in root directory - it must be the ONLY file on the stick.

I have the same issue with my iPhone 5. It worked recently and now has stopped to show information. I believe it was caused by a recent IOS update. My iDrive software is current per the BMW website.
