Best CSL Rep Thread
there is just so much hype and discussion over which csl rep is the best, which have more convativity, which is lighter, detail, etc. im on the market for a pair and want to bring all the inputs into one thread. there is just so many variations and things i like about each one as listed below.
i have left out the morr vs8 and qd7 as they are way about the pricing with the reps listed below. exclusive: im leaning toward these the most because of the details around the hub cap like the oem csls. looks great even though they don't concave as aggressive as the oem but im sure just most people won't know the difference besides us people. miro: gaining interest on these. it doesn't have the details around the hub cap but they do look more oemish from the wavy spokes and convativity. vmr/velocity by eas: also have interest. what rims do eas use for their csl reps? the + of eas is the gunmetal finish and other finishes available. once again doesn't have the detail around the middle but still a good looking rim. my personal situation is do i get the exclusive with the detail around the cap or just get the best looking "reps" i can. yes the exclusives are reps to but to most people won't know lol . i don't know what to do. looking forward to seeing your inputs. |

how about front miro and rear velocity and have them all powdercoated.. then you have perfection.

yep, should be noted that vmr (velcity motoring) and velocity are the same.
they all look nice. i like the vmr ones more since they're more concave for the rear wheels.

That's correct - VMR = Velocity.
Velocity Motoring is pretty much unchallenged as far as we're concerned... with well over 1,000 sets out there on the road, these wheels are proven to be the best CSL Reps out there. Let us know if you need a set Thanks! JL |

Does anyone know the manufacturing process that the exclusive ones are made on? The detail you've described around the hub - are not like the OEM's at all, they have offset info which the OEM's don't put on there.
The Velocity's are great have been around for awhile sold a ton of them In terms of accuracy to the real CSL's - my vote goes to the Miro - the Spokes have the proper curvature detail. Plus they are lightest of the csl's out there. Miro is also a great high quality production company. -Anyway they get my vote on closest to actual CSL's out there However should have thrown out the MORR CSL's too they are also I'd say a contender. |

From what I have seen Velocity are better. The ones with the inscriptions I have seen problems with the paint flaking off.

These are not powercoated wheels. These wheels are produced from velocity motoring.

A competent paint shop should be able to match the color pretty close. However, it always depends who's trying to match the color. Try to be there when they're matching colors, that way you can determine for yourself if you're happy with the color they've produced for you.

If you do drive your car through road salt, just take measures to wipe your wheels down after a day's drive. Try not to let salt sit on the wheels too long. Like any painted wheels, using them in harsh conditions yields high possibilities of wear on the finish.

They hold up pretty well, they clear coat can take it. However we do recommend that you wipe down your wheels after a drive in some heavy snow, eventually of course road salt will eat away at the clearcoat. Let us know if you have any other questions or need help on the wheels!

^Yes they do! Search "Miro CSL" and there will be variety of threads from reviews to comparisons to a sales thread. They should all be towards the beginning of the list because the Miro CSL are fairly new Enjoy!
