Could a non OEM heated seat retrofit use OEM switches?

I've been looking into heated seat retrofits and there are a number of installers who can fit the kit.

I can't use the OEM kit as I have M Sport Leather. If I were to buy the appropriate panel, could the OEM switches be used as I can't bear the thought of aftermarket switches!

How come you can't use OEM with MSport leather??

How come you can't use OEM with MSport leather??

The OEM retrofit kit is listed as not being compatible with leather or M Sport seats sadly.
