Its the ventilator that you have behind the radiator. The price seems to be regular dealer price. As i said before the only price the stealership didn't screw me on - $6 bag for extra oil bottle )))
You can buy full fan assembly on ECStunning for ~$510 (OEM) and its very easy DIY, remove few plastic pieces, unscrew 2 tore bolts holding the fan, take it out, out everything together. Virtually no experience needed, just common sense and some wiggle to get it out (first time it took me 1.5 hrs, as i couldn't brake it free, now i can replace one in 15 min. |

I haven't replaced one, i have taken it in-out about 15 times doing various things for some more work room. Same car 2010 e92 335i. Last time 2 days ago, when doing OFHG.
PS i googled and it seems that BMW doesn't cover fan Last edited by sp1tfire; 01-10-2016 at 08:55 PM.. |

Oil filter housing gasket. It's a rubber gasket between that piece that your oil filter screws into and the engine block. It's a well known failure part and results in an oil leak, sometimes leaking into the coolant. Because of its location, replacing it can be made easier by removing the radiator fan. But you don't have to touch the ofh to replace the fan
