What the hell did I do to myself? Won't run right after walnut blast
OK, walnut blasted my valves today. Started the car and it had a bad surging idle, half engine light. Went back under the hood to see what I'd forgot and I had plugged everything in but forgot when I was rerouting the pcv heater wires I had to unplug the lower vacuum fitting and rear plug off that thing that mounts under the intake manifold by the rubber sliding into the bracket (one line w/ check valve to throttle body, one line down firewall towards under the car, one electrical plug). Now I'd remembered to plug back in the vacuum line but didn't plug in the electrical plug... Now it's plugged in but still runs the same. If it was that would it have started running normal and just stored the code or continue to run like crap? I have searched and found how to reset the adaptive shiftng and throttle with the tricks of just holding down the throttle with key on/engine off for set intervals, have found how to clear service reminder lights. Can you clear codes without a tool? Can you read codes without a tool? I know on my Dakota you just turned the key on/off/on/off/on and it cycled the code on the dash. Does an 07 335i do anything similar?
I did get a misfire code the other day but only during aggressive driving. I guess the coil could've just died while it was just sitting there while I did the walnut blasting but seems highly unlikely to me. Is there any common wire/plug that gets disconnected without realizing it under the manifold, I noticed there's a maze down there.

OK, just in case this will help omebody in the future, it's solved. Went and bought a code scanner and had throttle stuck permanently open, throttle stuck temporarily open, throttle switch a high, throttle switch b high, throttle air supply control. Not exact wording but that's what I remember. So I take the airbox off and go to unplug the TB to see of anything was wrong with the connector (did not disconnect this for the job, just unbolted from manifold and laid in the engine bay) and what do you know, it slid off WAY too easy. Pushing it back on further it did click into place, so not sure how it came off if the tabs are fine, and no strain was put on the harness... Either way that was my problem, now it runs like a champ!
