Headlight washer nozzle P/N 61677179311

So one of these is failing to retrace properly on my car.

BMW are £65 for a new one.

Has anyone used the cheap £10 Chinese replica's from flea-bay? Or can anyone recommend an alternative?

Cheers
David

Hi David. I've used the £10 Chinese reps from eBay. Appears to be holding up ok and has done for over a year.

It will fail on the next mot if not fixed. Assuming you have xenon.

If you have a rediculously strict tester. I have never seen a tester look for headlight washers. Most won't even know how to tell the difference between xenon and halogens.
Like hundreds of others, just pull the fuse.

They can't test them anyway unless they are going to stand there and squirt your washers until they clean the lights.
I've never seen a tester do that

Mine pop up spray the headlight then go back in, but don't fully retract into the bumper..

Is this because the nozzle is knackered?

Because it's clogged.

Blast of shop air or a strip down and clean. Some people say boiling water cleans them. I even tried denture cleaning tabs.
In the end I just pulled the fuse and live without them.
Don't mix screenwash brands seems to be the main point of advice.
