2007 335d dpf delete but no eml ?
Hi guys just thought I'd post this as it seems very strange . I've had my dpf gutted and have been driving know for around 2 months and have had no dpf warning Come up ? I'm not complaining as it's saved me a few quid having the ecu reprogrammed but has anyone else had this ?

Interesting. With DPF the exhaust gas pressure drop post DPF is beeing monitored and the values are continously compared to the pre DPF data that is stored in ECU memory. Maybe your differential pressure sensor is bad which in this case seems to be good. It may deliver wrong data but in the expected range. Do you get regens? If not it speaks for the bad pressure sensor theory. You have left the oxy cat in place and it's monitored via both sensors?

Thanks for the reply , as far as I'm aware the dpf was gutted and everything was put back as it was before . I was expecting the dpf light to come on but it hasn't . The car performs as it should although my average mpg around town has now dropped from 37.1 to 34.4 ?

So I now have a couple of dpf fault codes and the car is in limp mode , would deleting the dpf and not having the ecu flashed cause this ?

I just unplugged the plug on the end of the fuel rail and it made no difference to the lumpy idle , would this suggest that the sensor has had it ?

Don't think so. The crank position sensor is behind the starter motor. Did you steam clean there, too? Never ever pressure wash the engine bay unless you want to kill the car. A 6pack of cans with brake cleaner is 10x cheaper and better.

I steam cleaned the top of the turbo and around the oil filler cap and around the red boost hose , the car was running fine until I went to go out in the evening and it started playing up and has been ever since , but discovered tonight that unplugging the fuel pressure sensor had no effect what so ever which surely isn't right ?

Have you checked the electrical connectors on the fuel injectors? Pull them, spray with WD40 and push them back / repeating a few times.

After I cleaned the engine the inlet manifold had puddles of water in it so I'm guessing when I've drove home it's all ran to the back of the engine and gotten in somewhere I guess .
