will 8 button idrive work on early ccc

Will the 8 button idrive controller from ccc nav work on a earlier ccc nav that only has 3 button idrive.

Not bothered about all the functions just the main wheel and menu button working

Never seen it done and I can't see how it would without some extensive programming.

Also the center console is different

I'd be interested in the outcome of this as I also have Ccc system but a faulty 3 button controller. I would also like to buy the new controller.

You can you the new controller, only if your CCC has been updated / has the correct firmware..... I have no other details but know it's been done.

CCC has to be one post 03/07 firmware minimum to work with CIC controller.
IF CCC was updated, it will work. In other words, if it does not then there is no point of flashing CCC as they get easily bricked!

what is the problem with your I drive controller? as mine stopped selecting when pushed down on the wheel, I managed to fix it as it was a dry solder joint took 20 mins to sort
