Difference between these Liqui-Moly oils????

They are both listed the as the same product, Liqui-Moly Leichtlauf High Tech 5w40 5L. One has a blue container, one has a purple container and there's an $8 price difference between the two. I don't quite see any difference? Anyone got ideas?

It's LM3864 vs LM2332

One seems to be synthetic tech, meaning has group 3 base, aka semi synthetic. 2332 is full synthetic.

Sorry for the delayed response, I don't come on here as much anymore since selling my e90.

I actually emailed Liqui-Moly and received a next day response from an applications engineer there. He stated that one is simply a newer part number than the other and both formulas were the same.

No. Why do you suggest it? Can you give me some specifics?

I have a VW now, and not a BMW if that matters based on meeting VW spec vs BMW spec (though they are probably the freakin same)

Well one says synthetic tech and other says full syn. Shows to go how these terms are used loosely. You are better off w another brand.
