E90 Pre LCI Bav Gruppe DTM

New member to this fourm, not even sure if I posted this in the right spot... anyways I've been working on retrofitting a set of BavGruppe RGB DTM rings onto my Pre Lci e90, keep in mind these rings are THICK. So id give this a difficulty rating of 9/10. Might post a full DIY depending on if its wanted or not. Let me know what you guys think.

Not too easy, but it wasn't the hardest task. Two people working would definitely make things A LOT easier. One prying and one working around the area with a heat gun.

Check out the thread I posted. Made a pretty detailed log of my recent LCI retrofit. Also have a video showing where to cut in order to get lens off as well as how to mount the halos.

The process of opening should be the same as E90 lights are all permasealed as far as I know. The internals are what?s gonna differ. I would suggest doing what I did in trying to find a broken, inoperable light and experimenting with that first prior. It was super helpful seeing what I?m dealing with prior to attacking my actual lights.

As previously stated, a DIY would be nice. But I'd LOVE to see more pictures with the demon eyes

What application do we download to change the led ring color? Second, do your rings go out after couple seconds? Mine do and I just also installed these rings on my headlights to the stock angel eye plug. Bavgruppe said they require coding sometimes. I might need to get this done to see if this fixes my issue.
