What's the best cat back exhaust for n54?
Long story short, I got rear ended and the insurance company is gonna cover the whole exhaust. I wanted a pe but it won't mount up to my exhaust since I already have a aftermarket one. Whats the best sounding and look exhaust options can I get? Thanks for your help! I have a n54 xi.

Thanks ^I also tried looking in the search but didn't see anything about if a 335i exhaust would fit on an xi. Interested in a vanguard possibly. But see no options for it on the xj

Is there a "best sounding" exhaust???
I'd vote for the OEM (w/golf tee mod) and cattless dp. However, I don't currently have this setup, so... For looks 4" or 90mm tips should do the trick. Excited to see what you find!

Best bang for your buck is the VRSF, its a full catback that sounds good, does not drone and offered at an unbeatable price

Define best? I'd argue Akrapovic or Eisenmann is the best but that's based on quality only.
As far as sound, well that's purely subjective and opinionated and volume is the same. Get whatever exhaust caters to your needs, there is no "BEST". |

I have the PE. It is the only exhaust I've heard in person, aside from stock with catted downpipes. I really like the sound of my exhaust. The sound builds nicely as the rpm increases. Very, very mild drone cruising at highway speed.

Second vote for the PE, almost no drone cruising on the freeway, which for a DD is great. If you want to keep your existing piping, check out the Corsa or Bastuck exhausts, they both have great sound.

Depends on what you like to be honest.
I have the PE mod and it sounds good. Not too loud not too soft. If you want loud, get HPF. It sounds amazing in person. |
