OEM Paint thickness

On inspection, one panel on my friends E93 gave the result of 189 microns (I think it was the left rear panel just above where the side skirt ends, but I don't remember exactly). Does that sound like original paint or was that part repainted? I've been told that anything past 200 is definitely a repaint and since most of his car was in 130s, 40s or I believe 50s and 60 on some parts, this seems a bit more than usual and close to 200. What do you think?

After all coats are applied, the total paint thickness is 120 microns or about the thickness of 5 human hairs

Surely it's more than that. Also, AFAIK E93s are made in Germany and not USA.
