Wheel Fitments

Looking to get some new wheels for my 2011 335d. Was wondering if you guys could help me out with what fitments work the best with out having any rubbing or having to do any modifications.

Also, are tire pressure sensors worth it? They seem expensive.

Lastly, any brands that you guys would recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Best size to go with is 18" wheels. 18x8.5" et33 in the front 18x9.5" et35 in the rear. As far as tire sizes go, 235/35/18 in the front & 265/30/18 or 265/35/18 in the rear.

Ditch the RunFlats!!

Yes, get the TPMS sensors.

As far as brands of wheels go it really depends on your budget. Same thing goes for tires as well. Have 2 sets of Apex Arc-8 wheels and love them, never had any issues with them. Other popular brands are VMR and Avant Garde. Once again, it really depends on what level of performance you are after and how much $$ you want to spend.

Thanks for the info. Are TPM sensors pretty much universal or do you have to make sure they will work for your car?

You have to make sure they work for your car, also that they are compatible with LCI models.

I didn't notice the seller disclose what brand the rims were, might be a good idea to find out and see how much they cost on the internet.

I have EC-7's 18x10 ET43 in the rear and 18x8.5 ET35 in front. Interestingly enough, I run 275/35/18 out back with no rubbing and I'm pretty low. I opted to keep run flats as I live 20min from cell service and have no intention of carrying a spare or changing a tire along a dark single lane country road... P-zero rft's are pretty bomber.

Aside from the enormous drop you are driving my same car. 18x10 ET43 EC-7s in silver with 275/35 R18 out back, white car. I am running Michelin PSS though instead of runflats.

Wheel fitment is always something that confuses me. Are these offsets it + or -?

I like the vmr's more.

I really want forgestar f14's, but don't really want 19's. And it looks like I can't get the super deep concave in 18's, without fender mods and camber.

I believe it is when the piece of excess sheet metal, that is above the tire, parallel to the ground, is bent upwards in such a way, that it makes room for a more aggressive wheel offset.

There are a lot of complaints from people running Forgestar F14's in the E90 Wheels & Suspension forums, mainly to do with the rims bending easily and the inconsistency of colors from batch to batch.

I'm not a fan of having to run a stretched tire, but to each is their own. They do look badass though when stanced correctly.

Vossen offers several wheels that have a nice deep concave profile, unfortunately they are only available in 20's.

Yeah I've heard that about forgestars. It appears that they have cleaned up there act, as of recent. I've been on the fence for months now, but the whole having to go 19's route really sealed the deal I think.

I live in the MD but work in DC and the vmr's are a very strong rim. had them on 2 years no bends, which I was surprised from pot holes I hit. I have yet to see how these zedd sl5's hold up.

Just an FYI to anyone that might be interested. There is a group buy going on right now for Apex's EC-7 in 18".

Only a day or two left, and we only need 10 more people to hit the $200 off + free shipping mark.
