sstt install broke the clip, danger? Pop off?

Hello yall, i was installing the sstt and broke that clip, you think the wire will pop out now when driving hard? Is it safe? Dam i should of been more gentel but that thing was darn weak, too bad it wasnt push clip style like most wiring harness clips, instead of a clip locking on a nob.

SSTT takes a far second to procede in number of complaints out of all the tuners, solely for this reason.

I'd rather have a broken clip then have issues with LIMP modes.

Complaints being the clip breaking on the t-map sensor our for the SSTT poping off cause the clip broke making the car shut down.?
I blaim it on bmw making weak wiring harness clips and my fingers. And the hole and knob style clips suck, i way rahter have the push button/squeeze type.

do u help anyone on this forum or just complain. for real, i was looking at another thread about the OP complaining about u.

FWIW, it wont fall out and if it does u will get a check engine light or somehting so u kno it is out.
contact Jeff at Eurobahn, he can get u a new TMAP sensor for a good price. takes two bolts to install.

Yeah it takes two bolts but you have to take out the stock airbox in order to change it though, otherwise you won't be able to access the bolts!..Its still easy..

well, my trick is i use another person help. one pulls while the other lift the tab. you can use your fingernail or something else like a guitar pick to uplift the tab. either way works well for me. only thing is that two arms must be able to fit down there.

There's plenty of people who could vouch for me helping them personally and I contribute a lot to this forum. I've never seen you contribute anything.

when i had the SSTT i broke the clip too by accident. What i did was wrapped a ziptie/wire tie around the tmap sensor and threw the SSTT to hold it in place... never had a problem

I tried to use this method with my brother. But I can barely fit my arm alone down there, let alone fit both our arms down there. I see people using this method and posting about it on the board.. yall must be hella skinny :P.

My clip broke too. I've e-mailed Jeff from Eurobahn and want to get a new one ASAP.

Just tie a dime to a string (and tape the end so the dime doesnt fall off the string...it is rather hard to "tie" a dime without the tape..then tie the other end around your wrist so you dont drop it in

then slide the dime under the clip until its snug, and gently pull the tmap sensor out, will require little to no effort at all, takes 30 seconds everytime I do it

Welcome to the I broke my TMAP clip club - I think about half of us have done it - new TMAP sensor is $90 if you really car and easy to install with 2 screws, or just use some tape!

It took me 2 minutes to install my TT.One reason is that the stock air box is off in place of an open element filter.I used the supplied pick, drilled a small hole in it and attatched a string to it.I just slid it into the clip and wiggled it out with the same hand.
