400 whp club?

Hey guys,

I'm curious for those of you who have had a dyno show your N54 is over 400 whp, who is running 93 without ethanol and what your mods look like.

By way of background, I have an 08 335xi stage 2+ car. It tested at 364/417 this summer when it was stage 1+. I'm guessing it's in the 380-385 awhp range now and I'm curious what would potentially get me over the 400 mark without ethanol..

Thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

93 octane and proof it was 93 octane. No previous ethanol fuels were in the tank prior to filling up that would raise the ethanol and octane in the tank even after fill up with 93 octane. A lot of people forget this part thinking when they change maps and put 93 octane in the tank when there was E60 left over it doesn't matter if it was a gallon left over, it is not legit 93 octane.

Anyhow here is my dyno, aiming for 444 next dyno with proof receipts you name it to boink l3ullshitter sayers and haters

at the time:

JB4 map 6, with downpipes, 7" fmic, air intakes, chargepipe/bov, and catback exhaust.

93oct. 406whp 446wtq Dynojet

Also more recently i started mixing e85 for a fuel blend of e30 or e40. WAY BETTER lol. Much more power i have to be in the high 400s on e40

I'm running FBO e30 Cobb ots map. I have no clue how much hp I got. Anyone wanna take a guess? Lol

I'm planning on getting a wedge custom e50 tune but waiting on my valves to get cleaned first

For what it's worth, I had my car walnut blasted before I started modding. That alone smoothed out power delivery AND clearly increased power I had lost over time. I didn't spend money for dyno time, but I clearly felt a difference. I think it cost about $500 with a few gaskets replaced and an oil change. Kind of expensive, but like with my downpipes, I paid up to have quality work done where I wasn't comfortable with my ability to do the job in my garage by myself....

And how about some Mustang Dyno numbers instead of inflated DynoJet numbers. Also further inflated using STD instead of SAE as the correction factor. I'm willing to bet those number would be a little bit south of 400whp on a mustang, probably closer to 375whp just factoring a 12% difference. Still fairly impressive though for the mods!

LOL at Buraq posting that weak ass stock turbo powerband. Yeah you can tell people you make 400 whp but when you are trapping 108 no one is going to care.

Thou shall not talk l3ullshit unless thou has facts straight

I trapped 108 mph in my Z4 when it was stock with only tune + K&N filter July 8th 2015 . http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW-Z4-Timeslip-27634.html

The day before the track I dynoed the car on July 7 2015 tune + K&N drop in filter http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showpost...2&postcount=64 with a slipping stock clutch . Oh yea that's right this car is 6MT not DCT.

I did not become FBO+ until September 11 2015 http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showpost...4&postcount=87

You know how to do the math right ? The pump gas dyno posted above was done on 1/14/2016

If you can find a candidate in South florida to run me on pump gas stock turbos no meth let me know. See that's trash talk and I can back it up.

Set em straight boy!!! Haha. I was originally going to try to kill my stock turbos with high hp before i install my single turbo. But since they have such low miles and are in great condition I rather sell them and get money for them lol

Any dyno can be re calibrated. ..which is why dyno numbers are useless really. My car could make 500 on a dyno then 400 at a shop down the road. Thats why its so hard to compare. It comes down to how fast that speedo moves and how good you can drive haha
