Which Compression Ratio ?
I am just about to order cp forged Pistons. Before ordering , I had better to consult the community. Which one is more sensible regarding my goal. 10.2:1(stock) or 9.5:1.
My goal is to hit 630 awhp with the following specs; BMW 2007 E90 AT 335xi Jb4/MHD Custom backend flash Full bolt-ons Pure stage 2 turbos TFT inlets Forged internals 103 octane Race gas Direct port methanol injection All the best,

I'm not an expert, but people are hitting 700+whp on stock internals. Why are you buying internals at all?
FBO with inlets and outlets nets 450whp on a RWD tuned car with stock turbos. Wedge/Hexon, VTT, Pure, RB, and others offer turbo upgrades that will easily put 630awhp down on a similarly equipped cars. Are your long term goals higher than 800hp?

I made mechanics install pure turbos , tft inlets and I make him cylinder head maintainance and replace all valves and valve cover gasket. Once we start the car , it was smoking so much that everbody in the dealer disappeared in the shop. They said it is normal for the first start and told me to do the break in period for the first 500 miles. During this time , the car consumed 3 liters Mobil 10w60 oil. I comprehended that something was wrong with so much consuming oil. I dropped off the car they said valve cover gasket should be changed. But nothing has happened positively. Before all these said process, my car was a monster. I've been trying to convince them to cover the cost by their insurance but they said they are not responsible. So I should build my motor by my resources. I will purchase CP forged Pistons. I will use my old with re-sleeving. Darton has a good reputation. Before dropping off the car to the dealer everything was going perfect I was happy with my forged internals and Rb turbos but I made up my mind to use pure turbos as it is better than RBs. Need your help now please. All the best |
