RiXeffects - 335 Boost Gauge Kit & Pod - UPDATE
Hey guys, thanks for the great response on the groupbuy for my gauge pod and kit... if you want to join in, you can still order at the group buy price until march 16th!
Groupbuy is over... you can still order at regular price at www.rixeffects.com I have got the first development prototype back, and I just need to make a few tiny changes and then we should be cranking these things out by 2-3 weeks from now! I also just wanted to give a big thanks to the people that signed up, you guys made this possible! Thanks again! -Rick Order form: www.rixeffects.com Last edited by RiXst3r; 03-17-2008 at 02:06 PM.. |

Good question!
RiXst3r, if/when you answer it, can you also tell us how you run the wiring for the gauge to a power source, as well as how you get the line for the boost gauge into the engine bay? Are we going to have to remove the dash? In other words, for us DIY'ers, how long does it take to do the complete install? |

No removal of the dash, its super easy... the side pops off and you can shove the wires up there. I have attached a pic. |

Man some people from this group buy are so sensitive...Sent out emails for reminding them to pay and get remarks back like I am rapping them for their money...Geesh such sensitive people!!! The PMs was intended to speed the process up, god responses back were like pulling teeth from a tiger!! Anyhow its done and lets get this thing rolling...Procede makes my stomach turn and the guages will help the stomach aches because now I can know for sure what my boost is, plus the gauge will look HOT!!!

So they are going into production. This is exciting. I almost installed mine last night without the pod, but I realized it wouldnt have anywhere to sit

That pod looks real nice and professional. I like.
One thing though, doesnt the 335 have airbags in those pillars?? Meaning that pod is gonna get shot around the cabin if the air bag comes out???

You answered you own question. The airbags are in the pillars, the pod mounts on the dash....

I'm going to install my boost gauge tomorrow and I'll just use the gauge mount that STRI provided until this pod ships out. It uses double sided tape and it will be easy to stick on and then take off when the new pod comes in. Thanks Rixter

As far as the airbag goes... Here are my pod crash tests... http://www.oeamtc.at/videobox/index....movie_kind=swf short answer... it does not get anywhere close to it.... the airbag is higher up in the pilar, to protect your head from the window/doorframe |
