Joyriide Detailed: Jet Black E90

This is a repeat for the customer. He got his car detailed and corrected, but has since done a bit of modding which has led to time in the shop, which has led to wash monkeys dancing on the paint, which led to me removing a bit of the marring and swirls it had in certain areas, along with a lot of light wash induced marring.

Customer gave the me the nod to let me know I could do what I want. We also decided to go with Zaino after the polishing was done, of which he supplied all the Zaino Products. Began work at 9:25am and finished @ 7:25pm exactly. Jet Black is not the kindest of paints and is definately one of the softest but most stubborn paints at the same time. There were a lot of RIDS (random isolated deep scratches) which would only lightly fade even with the heaviest of compounds and pads. No shame, the end results were amazing.

Exterior

Gold Class
Menzerna Wheel and Tire
Meguairs Super Degreaser (wells)
Zaino Clay Bar via Megs Last Touch
Extreme Cut Leveler via Purple Foamed Wool Pad @ 1200rpms on select areas
Menzerna PO106ff via Finishing Pad @ 1200rpms @ 1200rpms entire body
Zaino Z5pro ZFX'd x3
Zaino Z6
CD-2 Engine Detail inside wheel wells
Zaino Z16 on tires
Poorboys Wheel Sealant via #00 Steel Wool on Chrome tips

Engine

Engine was just given a wipe down since it was still looking great from its last detail

Interior
Zaino Z10 on all surfaces
Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer wipe down

Polishing Vids

ECL and Wool Pad

106ff and gray pad

During

After polishing and alcohol (1:1) wipe down

And one of the happy detailer!

Full Afters

So now after a hot shower and a real meal, I'm ready to relax and watch some TV.

G'nite folks.

JOY

In this case I used a long spoked brushed to agitate and rinse the inner wheel. In some cases where the inside of the wheels is not visible and not accessible, I'll ignore it.

I occassionally remove the wheel if for some reason the inside is visible but not easily accesible for properly cleaning, this happens to me a lot with neglected wheels that have never had the inner part scrubbed.

I also remove the wheel if the owner specifically wants the insides of the wheels cleaned and sealed.

19" Beyern Mesh 8.5" front and 9.5" rears on KDW's 235/35/19 FR 265/30/19 R. The offsets are very tame though, pretty much stock. I'm going with spacers this week. 5MM's up front and 12MM's in the back. Should be a HUGE visual improvement as the rears are VERY tucked in right now...

Not only does it look good in pics, it looks even better in person. My experience and trial and error have made me aware of the little things that really catch the eye. Things only the driver can notice after being in his car for a bit that make him think "wow, he even detailed "xxxx", nice."
