335i aftermarket brake pads
Ok did alittle research today and looks like our cars share the same Axxis/EBC replacement pads as all of the following cars:
04-07 525i A/T 06-07 525xi 04-07 530i 04-05 545i 06-07 550 04-05 640ci 06-07 650 02-05 745li 06-07 750 03-07 760 So now this being said since EBC doesn't list a brake pad for the 335i should I assume the pads for the above car will fit the 335i. Since all the numbers also match on the EBC 2007 fitment guide for the above cars.

Great Q... If the brakes are the same, I would assume the pads should be interchangeable.
I ordered EBC Red's for my AMG from www.placeforbrakes.com - I'm happy with them. |

Most oem brake pad companies use approx. the same compounds and materials to achieve the same results, to give you a firm pedal, smooth and effective stop power, and at the same time trying to keep noise to a minimum. some aftermarket pads are market as dustless pads, but do not offer the same stopping power as the oem brake pads. Others offer more stopping power in the expense of noise and/or pedal pressure.
If chosen carefully, there are some really good aftermarket brake pads out there, and some may even out perform oem brake pads in stopping power, pad longevity and offer dustless operation. |

Hawk's have always been a personal favorite of mine for a good Performance pad. Very easy on the rotors, good stopping power and not to much dust (definitely not anymore then the stock BMW pads, probably less).

I did a little digging too. EBC does list pads for the E9x 335i.
DP31449C EBC Redstuff Fast Street; Disc Pads; Front; DP31588C EBC Redstuff Fast Street; Disc Pads; Rear; Further, realoem.com lists the pads below. Front OEM - BRAKE PADS ASBESTOS-FREE TEXTAR T4165 1 34116776161 Rear OEM - BRAKE PADS ASBESTOS-FREE TEXTAR T4191 1 34216775678 According to the website, the rears are the same as the '06 330i. Does anyone know how to veryify this? |
