pretty simple...just a better driving experience for us (wifey and me)....both cars are MSport and we appreciate them both....but if we have to go anywhere together over 50miles....we jump in the D....love our GC (sexy car for sure)...but for sure driving enjoyment the D wins out (and dare I say looks...we have white on black)....we are in SoCal and took it to Nappa a couple weeks back and Del Mar last week...great drives great car...while the 435 slept...in the end sure the 435 is faster...but I have to drive it so hard to prove that...just not the same as the torque on demand
Why? Planted...stable...steering...we sit lower in the car...all around more comfortable...sporting and enjoyable 335D...what a great great car |

I just took my 2011 MSport 335d for a jaunt yesterday to a basketball game, 340 mile round trip in a late afternoon/evening.
Averaged 34.0 MPG and 75.8 MPH. Not many cars in the USA can do THAT. What a great highway cruiser. Massive "pull" on demand at ANY speed. |

every time I bring my car for repairs and the dealer gives me a loaner, I usually cant wait to get back my e90. F body 3 series just seems cheap inside. Dont care for 4 cyl engine as well. havent driven 6 cyl version yet. But last time I received 528xi msport 2016 with all options. Now 5 series felt nice inside. Sure its big but for long trip cruising it was great. Just effortless driving. inside felt luxurious as well. Getting back into my 335d was a step down interior wise. But after my 2nd CBU cleaning (another dealer didnt do a complete job so BMW authorized a redo) my power is back up which makes me very happy now. |

yep. I have had several loaners over the past 2 years and I would say the 435xi I drove came the closest to the 335d in daily performance. The 535dx would be after that.
I didn't care for the mechanized seat belt holder / extender. It was a part just waiting to break. BMW fixed the cup holder crap and then put this thing in there. Must have been the same engineer who moved from the cup holder dept to the seat belt group. |

Now if they'll stick a M57 in the 435 GC. I'll buy it. Had a 428xiGC loaner, it was a nice car but it lacked so much power.

I want to buy an F30 M3.
However: My 335d is paid off and still has warranty until 07/2017 and another 24k miles. My 335d is rarer than any M3 will ever be. So with that said, I keep the M3 because it has more torque than a new M3....and it returns better gas mileage than an M3 will. |
