LSD install with lock down kit

I'm getting ready to install an LSD in my car and wondered what diff bushings people have used? Interested in the amount of NVH experienced with whatever options people have used? I guess it would be a good time to do the subframe bushings as well, any advice on those?

Thanks

I've seen people mention a few and I usually save the links.

Here's one,

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-19...x-f22-f3x.aspx

I think Mfactory had one too, but I don't have the link for it.

I got my solid delrin diff. bushings from MFactory and they are working out great for me. If memory serves me correctly, you have the same diff. lockdown kit as me (you got the guys info from Randall). Just shoot them an email and they'll send them to you, pretty seamless transaction. I think I paid $150 shipped.

Whatever you do, do not get the Powerflex bushings, they warped in no time and resulted in an annoying clunking sound from the rear.

As far as subframe bushings go, it depends on the amount of power you are pushing along with the ride quality. I have the factory M3 RSFB on my car and have been running them for over a year. If I had the chance to do it again, I would probably go w/ the solid delrin RSFB which would be stiffer than the factory M3 RSFB and less NVH than the solid aluminum RSFB from Turner.

No worries, Good Luck. Are you planning on doing the install yourself? It is a bitch, since you have to drop the whole rear subframe. If you need the RSFB tool, HP Autosport has 1 that you can rent from them.

I'm having BPC do it. Get this, I'm having to replace my engine , so while the exhaust is off, I feel like I might as well get it all done.

Wow. What's the back story on the engine replacement?

I've got a knock that is getting worse. Replaced the rod bearings and it had no effect. I think it must be a bad wrist pin.

Was it run low on oil, how many miles on it? Maybe injector?

Oh okay, you're that guy, lol. I can't keep up with all the diesels coming in there anymore. I drive close by their shop on the way to & from my office and often stop by there.

You have the white M Sport with the dark tinted windows, correct? When I was there last week they had a SGM M Sport shipped to them from a guy who had just bought it that lived in Texas and a Black one with the Sport package there from DC. Unfortunately, the guy from DC passed away while BPC had his car. Sad and unfortunate, since I believe he was fairly young.

Yeah that's me. It would seem BPC is attracting 335d's from all over the country!
What killed the guy? What is happening with his car?

Not really sure. Randall had talked to him and said he sounded like crap. Next thing you know, his father had called and said that John had passed and that he would be handling his affairs. Someone came and picked the car up on Monday.

Ha, Bob@BPC in another thread stated that the "Diesel Guys" are killing him. Wonder what the wait time is for the mods?

Sorry to hear about the other fellow passing away.

Yeah, between the diesels, all the track/race cars in preparation for the new season and a couple of "special" projects Gandolf (a.k.a. Bob) is pretty damn busy.

Yeah man, it sucks. I don't think he got to experience his car w/ the alphabet delete done.
