I just swapped out the adaptive pre-lci headlights and taillights on my 10/06 build date E90 335i w/ adaptive LCI headlights and LCI tails. Along with the conversion, I replaced the original FRM1 with an FRM3 Max Brose for the added functionality (AE's, welcome lights). Everything coded in fine except for the front LED turn signals.
The front turn signals now have a strobing effect when used. Oddly enough when the car is in ACC mode, they work 100% as they should. But 5 seconds after the engine is fired up, the strobing begins. Also noticed that they also strobe as they fade out when the car is locked. It's extremely annoying and I imagine somewhat illegal, to have strobing turn signals. Has anyone else had this issue? Should any of the pins be changed on the new FRM? The other thread that discusses FRM to FRM3 conversions were for the E87 coding, and they weren't sure if it would apply to the E90. Any help would be appreciated! Here's a video of what I'm talking about... |
