Dinan fixed camber plates require alignment?
I'm about to installed the dinan fixed camber plates on my stock 2007 335i sport suspension. Do I must get an alignment after?

That sucks. I also heard that adding the dinan fixed camber plates it will raise the car. Is this true?

raises 1/8 to a 1/4 inch, depending if you reuse the strut mount top plate.
neg camber may slightly offset the bump. |

I'll probably install these camber plates with the supreampower lowing Pearce for the stock shocks.

I recommend doing what mlifxs said. I did the fixed Dinan plates and Supreme Lowering Perch combo and it's been a nightmare. The "top hat" or rim of the aftermarket perch has a wider rim (or bigger diameter) than the factory rim. So when you add enough camber (about -1.5 in my case), the rim of the perch rubs the inner wall of the shock tower. This creates all kinds of popping noise as the spring fights to stay in position. I would at least advise grinding them down prior to install, as I've had a helluva time doing so while they're installed. I wish I knew about the clevis method before I bought the perches!

op, some benefits on the clevis procedure: you can do the clevis cut after you do the camber plates in case you want to see how things look with just the camber plates. compared to the lowering perch idea, there should be less impact on sway bar pre-load. edit: the only downside I can think of is it's irreversible (unless you buy new struts or weld back the cut portion of the clevis) |
