335i Fuel Filter?
So on any other car the fuel filter is a common maintenance item. However I rarely hear about people changing them on their 335i. That's probably because the filter is parts of the pressure regulator assembly on the driver's side of the fuel tank and cannot be purchased separately. You need to buy the whole unit which is around $140 online, more at the dealer.
Regardless of the price and the stupidity of BMW to make this a difficult thing to replace, why aren't more people changing them? Is there less of a need on these cars? https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...63295/ES36230/ http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=16_0601

You'd actually be looking @ $355 for https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E90-33..._3.0L/ES37461/ (or $200 for VDO).
With that said, if you were to want to upgrade, i'd jump to an e85 pump in stock bucket upgrade: http://www.fuel-it.biz/e-series-135i...grade-options/ At that point you can then easily get into it to change the filter later as well and it's just a walbro 455lph one. Edit: Just noticed what you posted has a filter as well. What I wonder then is if that filter is after the fuel pump's filter so less likely to ever get clogged. |

Usually there is a sock filter on the pump, and then another inline filter. THe inline filter on our cars is on the driver's side assembly.
