Fuel low pressure sensor failure.. maybe?

Whats up. Something a little odd is happening with my lpfp.. it could either be the sensor or the pump itself, but hard to diagnose.

Basically whenever i start the car the lpfp sensor reads 72-73.. If i drive normally it stays around that area with slight fluctuation.. The second I go WOT and then cruise normally, the lpfp reads 82-83-84-85. It will stay this way until I shut the car off and turn it back on again, and then it goes back to 72-73.

Is this normal? Could this be a sign of the sensor failing? It seemed to start happening after I cleaned out my engine bay.. sprayed with degreaser and wiped everything down.. I doubt this could have affected anything but it just seems oddly coincidental. Any help is appreciated.

I have the SAME EXACT problem with my Stage 2 LPFP. My pressure sensor is basically new, only about 2k miles on it. Do you have any codes? I occasionally get 2AAF, unsure if it's related, does not cause SES light

Check out this thread, very similar issue: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=951399

I think he fixed it by changing the fuse, but I kind doubt that's you issue if you pump is stock. I changed my fuse to 25A tonight just to see if it helps.

The constant 72-73 psi is correct, but I don't think it should be jumping up to 84-85 psi after WOT.\

Here is my log showing the issue: http://datazap.me/u/ferocity02/lpfp-...0&data=3-13-23

Damn. This seems like a weird issue and tough to diagnose.

I have the fuel pump plausibility code, but I can't remember not having that code and it's autocleared anyway..
