Which inlet kit is easier to install?

I see there are aluminum tubed inlets (like MMP, VRSF, and Hexon) and then there are full silicone ones. It appears to me that the silicone ones run through the back for the rear inlet following the path the stock inlet near the firewall while the metal ones both shoot out on the hot side. Is this a correct understanding?

In terms of installation, which one would be easier to install? I'm sure they all function about the same.

Thanks

Because the full silicon inlet system replace the factory pipes, there is less stuff to relocate. Keeping that in mind it seems a bit easier.

The inlets that mount on the turbo-side require relocation of the coolant expansion and a few other odds and ends.

Both are a 6+ hr install eitherway. Someone proficient can likely do it a little faster. I seem to have the worst luck with installs so whatever people say I double the time personally LOL

The Hexon inlets follow the same route as the stock inlets. they use a mix of metal tubing and silicone.

MMP hot side inlets were easy to install. It was a pain to remove the stock stuff.

Since both types will require 5-6 hours of install time, i would say install is the same for all of them

But to answer your question, the easiest would be the ones that do not need to relocate anything

Which is what I'm on the fence about..!! ^^^

Someone said there's like a 7whp difference over on BB, in that the hotside pipes are rated to give you more whp.. I however don't really like the cluttered look of relocating stuff to the driver side..

Keep in mind 7 whp over 400 whp car is within the margin of error of a dyno

Can someone help me understand installation for the rear inlet a little more? Will I have to cut OEM rear inlet or can I somehow slide it out from the top? I would really hate to chop it off because I think I want to go back to stock at some point.

I'm seeing pictures of it intact in some install threads and some that are cut.

Can't be done unless you drop the subframe and lower the engine several inches, other than that you MUST cut it.

Precision Raceworks, full silicone hot side relocated inlets are easier to install, not clamps in between. but expensive than other MMP/VRSF. Plug and play harness. no splicing wires. Better brackets for relocation.

My mechanic got the rear inlet off with out cutting /breaking oem equipment. Just take your time. Btw I have Vargas inlets. I know that brand is a bad word here but his on inlets are quality product and super easy install. Others will say otherwise but to each their own.

All inlets are pretty time consuming in regards to the install, whether you go OEM location or relocated.

What? Are you serious? How come all of these guys are so sure you can't do that, lol. Did your mechanic lower the engine by chance?

I'd just cut it anyway, lowering the engine/subframe takes too much time and you'll never reinstall the stock inlets.
