Should I paint the inside of my wheels flat black or gloss black?
Hey guys... I'm looking for some opinions on what color I should paint the inside of my wheels. I'm either going to paint them flat black or gloss black, but I'm not sure which one would look better with brake dust sitting on top of it. The reason why I'm looking to paint the inside of the barrels is because my wheels have some tight spokes and its impossible to clean the insides when I wash them.

I voted GB. Why not add some shine? I always clean the inside of my barrells when I wash my wheels. A little shine looks good!

You should go for the gloss black so you can tell when it's getting dirty as it would be less glossy when dirty.
BTW,your wheels are sick man! ![]()

I dont see a point in doing gloss as the break dust will just make it dull in 2 seconds. Then you'll be in the same boat as before, wanting to clean it to make it shiney black. I have the same issue on my wheels, once a month I get under the car and wipe the inner barrel. You would think someone would make a tool to wipe these down easily through the spokes |

I have the same problem and mine are flat black. I would never do gloss black unless it was a car in car shows

Thanks everyone for the responses. I intially thought about going flat black, but I ended up thinking that with some brake dust it would just look flat black anyway so I bought some gloss black paint. I painted the inside on my rear wheels today and I'll try to do the fronts if I have time tomorrow. With the design of my wheels its so hard to see anyway that its not much of a difference now that I've done it, but I just couldn't stand not being able to clean the inside of the wheels and have it look a dirty silver color.
![]() It costed me a roll of painter's tape and a can of duplicolor. ![]()
