according to http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/ the style 197's are...

11.23 kg (24.76 lbs) front

11.93 kg (26.30 lbs) rear

Though because they are staggered, these wheels can't be put on a xi because of the AWD. I didn't know front and rear were different sizes.

You CAN use them on an xi. Remember that BMW has 18" staggered wheels as a sport option on the xi. There are several staggered OEM setups that can go on your car. I really like style 216.

I thought it isnt optimal for AWD setups to do this, i've even had a couple Audi's and i know they advise against it...

Don't know all the details, but tire size makes a difference too. If you talk to your BMW parts guy, he can tell you all the set ups that can be put on an xi. That's what I did. BMW won't recommend an OEM 19" set up. But as I said, there are many OEM 18" staggered set ups, that are OK on the xi. Build your own xi and you'll see a staggered 18" 162 option offered.

yea, i don't know much about the xi, but one of the bay area locals has staggered bbs ch's on his xi.
