Cleaning n54 engine cover foam / sound deadening ?

Hey guys removed the engine cover to inspect plugs and coils and noticed oil on the underpart of the cover immersed into the foam part . How can I clean all the oil out without damaging the foam as I have just cleaned the oil off the wiring etc and don't want them to become oily once again .

Just try some dawn.. It's probably the safest strength for the foam

It's either cracked valve or the pcv vent hose or from the oil filler cap still to be determined

Could just be a spill from adding oil.

The foam is heavily soaked in oil so it def isn't likely from oil filling but more so cracked valve cover which I'm trying to properly diagnose before forking out the $$$ to replace as my gasket seems fine but oil in plugs 2,3

O I freaked out immediately, I knew what was under there. There's a little gasket that sort of helps.

Oil in plugs...prob the vc, the gasket is part of the full kit so I'd just do both. Maybe diagnose/replace that before cleaning the foam and engine cover
