best price on Bilstein B12 pro-kit?

Hello forum members,

I'm on stock sport suspension on my 2006 330i with 118,000 miles on it. As far as I can tell by the ride, the suspension feels ok but I'm hearing scraping sounds every time I go over my driveway and other places where it normally never scraped.

So I'm thinking it might be time to refresh with a Bilstein B12 pro-kit set. I'm price shopping and it seems Turner Motorsports has the best price but wondering if anyone knows a place with any better price. If so, please share.

TIA!

If I ever buy again, I'd buy from fcp euro because of their lifetime replacement warranty.

ajusa.com has aggressive everyday pricing on bilstein products.

you can always google the part number.

amazon is always worth a look. a week ago, a vendor there had the pss10 edc kit for very cheap.

Probably about $825-50. It's pretty rare to see this set under $800.00. However, you have to replace the upper, upper and upper lower support bump stops on the rear. You may have to replace the lower, lower support bracket too on the rear. On the front, you're probably going to need to replace the upper strut bearings. You don't need bump stops for the front, or rear, Bilstein has them built into the front shock and gives you rear ones as part of their purchase price.

Total might run you $1,000.00 or so in parts when its all said and done.

If you're DIYing it, your gonna need special strut sockets. You can buy them at ECS tuning.

I just read their warranty thing on their website, that's crazy! They'll replace wiper blades and other consumables too, incredible. But the chance of those kinds of things breaking I guess would be pretty slim so may not be worth the extra cost.

So in the case of a suspension which seems like would rarely break but just wear out and need a refresh, the warranty probably does not cover this.

Thanks though, good to know about FCPEuro.

I checked out both ajusa and Amazon, there's a lot of different part numbers! Amazon does have the lowest price anywhere but not sure if that part is the right or "best" one.

Thanks for the offer, I might end up going for the sportline kit, not sure if I will end up regretting it though for the sportier ride

Yeah that price range is what I'm finding, good to know about the other parts that will need replacing too, thanks for the info.

I was thinking of getting these Monroe shock mounts posted on another thread, are these the same thing as bump stops that are built into the Bilsteins?

Also about the strut bearings and support brackets, do you have any recommendations as to brand?

Lemforder is the OEM supplier, or you can always pay double and sometimes triple for the little BMW sticker on the part.

Monroe makes the upper, upper bump stops for the rear I believe.

I just went with Lemforder all the way around unless that part wasn't found or lemforder didn't make it, then I went with OEM (BMW).

I bought all my parts from FCP euro. They price matched other on-line vendors? and you get a lifetime warranty.

ECS tuning and Bav Auto make great videos for replacing the shocks and struts.

You'll need to get the special strut sockets from ECS. Either buy or rent spring compressors.

One other thing, you'll need to let the B12 Kit break in for about 2,000 miles before you will want to put a 4-wheel alignment on your car.

When accounting for shipping, bavauto had the best price on the B12 pro-kit for me just a few weeks ago when I did the upgrade. I got the mount kit from turner motorsports and then I had to get all the spring pads separately from getbmwparts.

No problem. I know a lot of guys like to shop around for the best price, I do too.

Sometimes our site comes in low, sometimes it's higher.

That's why I just say we'll price match. Unfortunately with over 4000 products on our site, I can't guarantee the lowest prices. Some manufacturers make us play by their rules, others have movement. It's a silly industry.

Anyway, we'd appreciate the support and opportunity from the community.

Go to bmwfans.info

Look up your car and get the exact part numbers before shopping.
