Them 'L' drivers

sick and tired of those Lexus drivers trying to race .... tail gating, pressing for attention... Last nite this L(oser) SUV first tail gates and then cuts me off; god know with what intention.

Do other people get the same? what do you do - race or ignore?

So I created this thread to understand why they do it:
http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=339512

Anyone understand their psychology?!

Who cares just ignore them... How do you think M3 owners feel when stupid 335i owners try and race them.. Back when I had my M I had EVO's and STI's come out of know where trying to race me along with pick up trucks.

Economy must be bad since you’ve descended from M to 328…G. Dub? Please tell me it's a coupe at least!

Funny, I don't street race, but I'd definitely never try to race an M3.

Tuned, it's not even close - it's like beating up on a fat little kid.

On the road course, however, I loooove beating up on the M3, because the classic M3 retort is "but wait till we get on the track". Again, with suspension mods, it's not even close.

Can't wait for the e92 m3 to come on track for some play time.

LOL.. Good one.. Warranty was almost up on the car and it had a lot of trouble so I dumped it and at the time the 335i's were just coming out and had a waiting list and a premium on them... Now looking back at it taking that car in once a month for some mechanical issue is a heck of a lot better than my current 328i. I think I am honestly cursed when it comes to BMW's.

+1 on the M comment. When I had mine, you would get extreme opposite reactions from other drivers.

1 - they try and stay out of your site, or take off from the light really really slow to make it a point they aren't fishing.
2 - they sit there and do pulls on you, or blast outta the gate from the get go.

Either way, I don't race. The real race is prob with option #1 above, where we both see who's slower when the light turns green.

Lexus drivers I've seen aren't as bad as the Scion or Altima boys.

I think this works both ways. When I had my Lexus IS, I always had other Lexus (mostly IS, GS and SC drivers) and BMWs jockey in for a race. Now that I have a e92 335i, I still get Lexus and BMW drivers up my tail for a race.

I drive fairly spirited most of the time and I think that aggressiveness is what attracts those "road racers."

Bottom line, there's asses on both side of the fence.

Just my 2 pesos.

in canada, our cars get impounded on the spot and we lose our licence for a year if we are caught 'street racing' (which means 50km/hr over speed limit)
are there any laws like that in USA?

LOL! Hmm, I dunno, maybe because a 335 can now pass M3s?

I'll be the first to admit the M3 is a superior car, especially in handling. But STOCK 335s can keep up with M3s (except the brand new M3), and chipped 335s can beat em.....

If you are caught going 50kms over they take your license for a week. Not a year.

Well, I'm usually da dude tailgating, high beaming and passing fools on da shoulder lane. I just can't stand dumb ass drivers on da road. But then again I live in da homicide capital of California so I really don't give a fuck...

Seeing that your my fellow Bay Area neighbor, you can't let an SUV punk u, that's just not right! You must of been cruising in the fast lane doing 65 mph or something for him to do that. That would piss me off too. Either 1) move over to da slower lane if you just wanna cruise so people like me can get to where they need to go w/out cursing at you, 2) tap ur brakes and flip him off and hold firm doing 65, or 3) punch it and let him eat some exhaust fumes. Come on, we got a reputation to uphold here!!!
