BMW: All Hail The King of Laguna Seca!
Feel the euphoria, nirvana, and harmony between man, machine, and rubber at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca as you encounter a variety of noteworthy cars at this great track. Experience The King!
Hope you enjoy watching the video as much I enjoyed making it! Many thanks to BMW for making a fun car, which made it possible to capture the footage. All footage taken in the advanced open passing run group. Speed is addicting... Audio mastering was done so here are instructions for maximum enjoyment: 1) Open video in your home theater (or grab a good pair of headphones) 2) Turn up the volume 3) Hit Play! The video was created with an escalating structure so if possible try to watch in full from beginning to end for best effect Only about 2min long...Enjoy! .

Nice driving. I need to get my 135i to the track.
So 235/265 Hankook RS3's with Ohlins R&T, Quaife LSD, and M3 arms/bushings + Camber plates. Anything else you did other than add the LSD? Turn off the DTC (long push of the button), anything else? How are the Ohlins R&T for daily driving?

RABAUKE: thanks, it's a great pleasure to share. Going through the Corkscrew is always amazing. The car feels like it's momentarily airborne, especially at 40mph+ speeds.
Gangplank: thanks, running with PFC-08 pads and Motul RBF 660 now. The Ohlins are quite sublime for daily driving. Adjusting the stiffness on all four corners takes less than a minute. |

That's certainly one track I would love to take the scooter on. Shame it's a bit too far away.
I can still remember Kevin McGee crashing his Lucky Strike Suzuki there, that was horrid! Well done mate, looks like you had a blast! |

HFW003: I'd love to drive the Mount Panorama Circuit you have there. That track looks like a lot of fun with the rapid elevation changes and scenic views.
Thanks, it sure was! |

It is actually a public road so anyone can drive around it providing there is not a meet on. Unfortunately it has a speed limit of only 60Kms/hr and is always heavily policed. Be safe. |

As requested, here's a full lap from the same session shown in the original video. There's definitely at least 2 more seconds with its current setup on stock boost and street tires. Possibly even a 1:41 or 1:42 with better brakes as MRLS really tests your confidence in your car's brakes! The 135i brakes could be a lot better.

dzvero: Thanks!
I agree, I usually don’t like music in track or racing videos either; and many seem selected without much thought or are poorly integrated in the video IMHO. However, this particular song is one of my favorite neoclassical pieces and it’s a perfect fit so I had no choice but to use it The other video misses all the fun action in the session (including the awesome pass by the 2016 Viper ACR) but still glad you at least enjoyed that. The original unedited footage was about 25 minutes long and my guess is most viewers don’t want to sit through all of that. |
