Thanks for sharing, was considering looking to get a dinan s2 tune since the price has gone down.

It would be great to have someone from Dinan chime in here. So what does this all mean in reality? I have always found the Dinan Tune to be a great add on for me.

Over time I've realized I dumped WAY too much money into my Dinan stuff.
Stage 3 here with all the trimmings. This includes: DINAN stage 3 tune, intercooler, oil cooler, monoball control arms, bushings, rear sway bar, pedals, mats, and LSD. Right now, my oil cooler is making an obnoxious grinding sound that drives me batshit, and they just can't seem to fix it at my "local" BMW Dinan certified dealer (nearly 50 miles from me). Seems to be the lines making a racket against the chassis / body once it kicks in. I'm about to pay a grand to get the damn stock oil cooler put back. So sorry I sold my OEM oil cooler I don't think I would do it again, given the opportunity. |

This is why I am comfortable stopping at the software tune. the cost of upgrading the other parts seemed to high for me in general. and this was not a Dinan thing, I just didn't want to get into the added extra costs. No regrets with the Dinan tune but that was helped by the fact that I didn't pay anything near the retail price for my tune.

I'm happy with what I have, don't get me wrong...just the little niggling things like this oil cooler. Meh. |

Stage 3 cost a bundle, but was worth it. Port Injection is soon going to make the FBO bad boys wonder how my lowly Dinan badged car can have so much get up and go.
