NOT Neat!

Seems pretty widespread along the brand and years.
Not too sure what to make of this...

My friends 535 caught on fire at a light. Unmodded low miles, started inside the dash according to him and the fire dept.

My mom had a 5 series that burned to the ground at a stoplight back in the '80s. They gave her a new car.

It's not exclusive to BMW. Probably not all that spontaneous though.

My parents had a Toyota Rav4. My dad was driving it on a motorway when smoke started coming in through the vent, he pulled over and got out, then the fire spread to the cabin and the whole car was up in flames.

Earlier in the day the car had a tyre burst. I'm thinking the burst did some damage to wiring or something electrical around there.

So these could be caused by odd faults, mistakes made during repairs, dodgy aftermarket work or parts like sound systems and other kits with hacked together wiring. Many possibilities.
