Car stalled in the middle of the highway after AWD 4X4 malfunction!

UPDATE: It was a faulty IBS cable and alternator.

I tried searching for this, but was unable to find this scenario.

Will try to keep this short and sweet while including all relevant details...

Was driving on the highway (in the rain) and drove over a puddle...

Next thing I know I get the 4x4 DSC and a christmas tree of warning lights including one for the battery. The car then goes into limp mode, and then I lose all engine power completely. Somehow coast to the shoulder.

While on the shoulder I try to restart the car, nothing.
Hazards are on, I give it a few minutes and the car manages to start... I am able to change the Procede to bypass mode (map 0).. that is when all h3ll break loose... for some reason it appears as though the car wants to change to map 1.. and then I lose complete control of the car... the car starts accelerating on it's own... the revs start jumping back and forth, feels like misfires, but it's not mechanical, totally electrical

Initially, I am unable to even turn the car off... Eventually, I somehow manage to turn the car off..

Car is currently at the dealership. It seems to be electrical, I am not sure if anyone has had this experience. Not sure if the Procede has anything to do with it.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I believe I may have read something similar in the past, but was unable to find.

Thank you in advance.

sounds like your ECU may have gotten wet somehow, maybe a bad ground on the ECU or the tune?

In the future, hold the start/stop button for over 5 seconds. That should shut the car off in the emergency procedure.

What the problem is I have no idea. I would have removed the tune before giving it to dealership.
