hello all so a little background. i have a 2008 335i n54 with fresh turbos and fbo. i have used the bafx bluetooth connector to connect my phone and register my battery through carly. i ordered up a few different k+dcan inpa cables and even borrowed one that i tested on a 2007 335i that connected directly to mhd no problem. i can not for the life of me get any of my 3 different cables to connect to my car or even the one that i borrowed and tested. it keeps saying that there is no cable connected. please any help would be greatly appreciated. its super frustrating and i sold my cobb to test this out so I'm a sitting duck right now.

could be related to your tablet or phone you're using?

no don't look at bluetooth. it can be either your hardware (tablet/phone) or the cable. MHD is strictly wired OBD

I'm using a low cost tablet i bought from amazon and my cable i got about two years ago.

I went to a buddy's house and used his cable on hid car with my device and it crooked up to mhd and identified his ecu right away. (his is an 07 335i) I took that cable home and tried to hook it up to mine (08 335i) and It will not connect using the exact same cable and device that I had used on my buddies

Stupid question, is the Ignition on 2 clicks ? All dash lights on ?

Also make sure you used the same sequence of connecting things, I do OBD cable>plug into phone>ignition on>app (my phone recognizes the device and automatically opens MHD)
