Max Torque on ZF 6HP26
My 335d has been tuned by the previous owner to spurt out 752 NM of torque. AFAIK, ZF certifies this gearbox to cope with 600 NM, but I've heard that it can handle 700 NM quite well. Are there any examples of anyone that went higher on 6HP26 without gearbox failures? If no, I'd be considering retuning the whole thing to go for power rather than torque to avoid any future failures

Well the car has only 120 kkm on it so I doubt that anyone did any oil changes. AFAIK, the last owner remapped the engine just under two months ago, so it may be wise to to revert it to stock with a regular BMW software update before any damage is done.
What's interesting, the local tuner who did the job claimed that the gearbox can handle 750 NM easily. I'm quite terrible when it comes to automatic gearboxes as I'm a guy that used a manual his entire life and this one is my first. Thus, everything seems OK from my perspective. The only issue I've got is an occasional jerk when the gearbox is about to change gears and I let off the throttle (happens when shifting 2->3). I think it's due to throttle response lag and my inability to drive an automatic :P |

I have 835nm on my UK 335d for the last 12k miles with no issues, still silky smooth. But i did a gear oil change at 50k miles and will do one every 40-50k

Even for non tuned car, I'm a believer in trans fluid changes every 40,000 miles. I did mine a bit early at 38,000 as I wanted to get the aluminum pan on.
