Replacing EGR cooler
I have a BMW fault code 4873 (OBD P2457) "Additional EGR cooling, plausibility: Additional EGR cooler bypass valve does not open"
The EGR cooler bypass valve spring is broken and the EGR is leaking at the weld close to the bypass valve. I ordered an new EGR cooler today and I will expect to replace next week. I tried to disconnect the connector for the temperature probe in the EGR cooler but I was not able. There is a tab that slide back but the connector did not move, I did not want to try harder and break it. Here is the connector. Any tips on how to disconnect? Thanks |
