Will the Strut Brace fit with a CAI/Intake mod
I'm curious as to why the new BMW strut brace can't fit the 335i.
Is it the airbox that is taking up too much room ? If so with the addition of UR's CAI or Logic's Velocity intake, does this create enough room to fit the Strut brace ? SJ |

i have it with the ur cai...it def. fit fine. With the stock airbox its a bit snug, and without reinforcing the area in which the strut toughes the airbox it will eventually crack tthe airbox. I dont reccommend putting it in with the stock airbox. I thkn most if not all aftermarket intakes work with the strut bar.

Its the airbox it touches slightly - i put one on mine no prob - followed the DIY and shimmed it with a couple washers - actually ended up shimming a lot less than the DIY as it technically cleared without shimming in my car, just needed a little more space for engine movement. with a CAI you won't have any issue.

Just my opinion but i think the strut brace is a waste of money.I doubt if you will get anything out of it,especially for the money. You could use the cash for something that will get you more performance.
