Taking the numbers off of the back of a BMW.........NOT COOL!

I have never really understood why anyone takes the numbers off the back of there 3. If you don't have numbers on the back, it is OBVIOUSLY because you have the lower version of whatever series you are driving. So please, STOP!!! It actually makes it WORSE and you call attention to the fact that you bought the lower version. Not that anything is wrong with that, but you actually are saying that you are embarrased by the 325......525......etc on the back. AND YOU SHOULDN'T BE!!! Anyone have any input?

I think it is stupid, too. I don't know if I would care enough to start a thread about it, though. I barely cared enough to type this response.

I'll probably take mine off, but it has nothing to do with which model I have, it's just that I like the cleaner lines more. If the Roundel could be removed it'd be gone off the front and back too...

I think some people here have 330i took their off too. They said it is for the clean look, but I don't really understand what that means....... free country and their car

This horse has been beaten thoroughly here already and I really don't think we need an entire new discussion on the issue.

I had my E46 330 de-badged when I had it. Was that stupid/wrong?

Not that anything is wrong with that, but

I ORDERED my car without the badge, as do MANY people in Germany (and Europe) regardless of whether they bought a 116i or a 760Li.

I don't PERSONALLY like it. So I say STOP. I was saying that there is nothing wrong with having a lower model, not nothing wrong with taking the numbers off. Thanks.

I also think that people do this with their 330i's because it makes a good sleeper. However, I wont be taking the badge of my car.

I see. I don't like heavy metal music, so therefore it's obviously not popular and it should be banned. But then again, I am not the world (and neither are you) so it's clearly a dilusion.

Its only poser if people re-badge their car with something it's not.

By the way no one cares what you think this is a stupid thread, you should stop being such a noob and use the damn Search button.
