Cold start - Loud exhaust sound

Hi!

When I cold start my engine and accelerate. The exhaust gives a loud screaming sound for a second. All N54 engine owners know this.

But as you also know, this sounds only appears on the first acceleration after a cold start.

Now my question is: Is it somehow possible to get that sound even when the engine is warm? I want that sound every time I accelerate. Without changing parts in my exhaust system.

My downpipes is catless.

Thanks!

It is possible if you can find a device that can change your car's fuel mixture and timing. However, I don't think any of the piggyback or flash on the market can do it.

Stock exhaust? If so, do the golf tee mod or pull the plug in the trunk to make the valve stay open all the time. Either that or get an aftermarket exhaust with no flap. Check through the diy section here, there are plenty of threads about it.

MHD Tuning Martial has been able to disable the cold start within his tuning maps. Maybe he has some insight on this. I personally don't think you'd want cold parameters 100% of the time though.

Get a more aggressive exhaust ... REMUS is my favorite

Get a PE exhaust, it's quite aggressive with downpipes. It'll sound all that and then some!

the noise is from the wastegate position of the cold start.
