What do I lose with a CCC to CIC/NBT retrofit?

Hey guys,

Heard from a CCA member that retrofitting a newer iDrive to an E90 will interfere with coding and BMW diagnostic software. Is he off his rocker or is there actually an issue here? I'll probably want to do a tune at sometime.

TIA

Won't be an issue, just update VO to a later build date that had CIC (#0910 or later) and you're fine. I just finished an NBT retrofit and have had 0 issues coding the car.

Thanks guys. I've got a CIC sitting at home, now I know what my weekend project is.
