I was just wondering how it was working out for you. I noticed some mixed reviews on Amazon, but those reviews aren't always trustworthy.

works great for me. I disabled cobb, put jb4 to map 0, drove to the gym and back. Next morning, I went to the inspection and passed with all systems ready.

Are you guys running it 24/7? I would like to be able to see error codes and not keep autoclear on all the time.

I'm using ****** ios2 O2 simulator. Works great. No codes what so ever. My car is a daily driver. What they don't tell you is that the cat HAS to be removed for it to work. I installed it before I removed my stock downpipe. I thought this would be a good test to prove I hooked it up right and not throw a code. Well, it threw a slow response O2 code. Removed the cat, reset the code and have not thrown one since. The simulator needs O2 in the exhaust to work properly.

I wonder the same. I was under the impression that we could use this along with a catted pipe and have this take over when the HFC fails. A catless DP is not really feasible for me.

Anyone hookup the sim using some sort of quick disconnect connectors so you could easily remove if you wanted to?
Something like this: https://www.radioshack.com/collectio...ant=5717881797 |

mine gives weird codes all the time, same goes to my friend, they come and go, he removed and ran the car and only the dp codes show up, but it works to pass emissions.

From my understanding of the IOS2 it does not completely simulate a functioning O2, it just modifies the O2 signal. With a cat upstream, there is very little oxygen in the exhaust stream making it past the cat. Combine that with the signal filtering the simulator does and you get a rear o2 slow response engine light. With no Cat the rear O2 sees the oxygen content moving all over the place (same as the front o2) and modifies that such that it meets the algorithm requirements of the rear O2 signal in the ECU.

Those quick connects shown SHOULD NOT be used. They are a very poor way of making a connection for low voltage signals (or any connection on a car).
A quick connect is a good idea if you want to swap a catted pipe back in to pass emissions. If you do, I would recommend sealed automotive type connectors for the connection. Something like: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Kits-Car-...3D252218499645 |

Does anyone know where I can find one of these? I have emissions coming up and these things seem to be unavailable online right now.

This clears the codes in the ECU which would cause it to fail inspection at most places. The simulater prevents the codes from appearing in the first place.
The purpose of autoclear is cosmetic. It is to stop the light from showing up. Quote:
With a factory cat in place as well as the simulator, you basically have the effects of two cats, hence the slow response. |
