M3 Front Sway Bar and Bushings

I'm starting to track my 328 with ST Coilovers and having a blast. I've added Hankook RS3's, Perfomance Friction 06 pads and will be putting on M3 control arms this week. After I see how the arms do at Texas World Speedway this coming weekend, I'll add the M3 front sway bar that I got for $130 off ebay. Has anyone else added an M3 bar and noticed much of a difference at the track? For that low price, it doesn't have its bushings. Should I stick with OEM rubber ones or get the Powerflex polyurethane's? Or will those be too stiff and add understeer? Two weeks later I'll be back at TWS to see how the bar does.

I've already read through a dozen threads where the theories are discussed so I'd appreciate input from someone who's actually tracked with the M3 sway bar. Thanks!!!!

Haha. Yeah, I'm "that guy". I'm actually surprised at how few drivers put any tape on their cars. I don't have a single blemish mine and I'd like to keep it that way. It takes about 45 minutes to put it on the night before and 3 to remove it.

Not sure of the 328 combination that works. Lurking.

I have a front / rear set of UUC bars which are a little larger than the M3 bars. Mine have been sitting at home because I'm on the fence about installing them. I know I should have decided first before buying...

My point being that sways are a fine tuning tool, to be done (if at all) after proper springs and dampers or coilovers, RSBs, suspension bushings, and LSD.

Most "real" race drivers tell me to sit tight on the ARBs, especially before installing an LSD.

Good luck on your decision and have fun out there.

To be honest, I think it will be extremely difficult to even quantify the difference a sway bar bushing makes.

I have a 328i with the M3 front control arms and the M3 e93 front sway bar, I also have a LSD and my rear sway bar is stock. Adding the M3 front control arms and FSB made a substantial difference in handling and there is no push in the corners. In fact, one of of my instructors made the comment, "Wow, I'm impressed, your car feels very nicely neutral." If you can read my signature, you can see my other mods as well. Both the M3 front control arms and FSB were the last handling mods I have done, and I have two track days since these components were added.

Edit: I'm using OEM M3 FSB bushings and the M3 e93 FSB is thicker than the e90/92 front say bar.
