It's a Jeep. Excessive peel comes with the Limited package.

So what did you do here? Just apply the wax or was it detailed.

I don't know much about Swissvax other than its more than I'm gonna spend. I'm sure its a great marketing ploy to MB guys when you tell them its MB approved. None the less, very reflective and bright. Reminds me of Collinite Insulator.

Good eye Joyride.

Its just a wash and wax. Wax with a $579 wax. Granted the surface was properly prepared with 106ff to a swirl free state on Wednesday night. Sunday, I came home and waxed. I want thoughts on the LSP.

Well its reflective. If you've used collinite you'd know that its a bright LSP with a distorted deep shine. This looks bright, but clear. Sealant like I guess. Is it a hand applied wax?

I actually used a foam pad.

Looks very nice! Very reflective and brighter / glossier than I expected out of black, but I'm unsure if that effect came from your prep work (polishing) or from the swissvax. Definitely a

for sharing, as I've heard so much about swissvax and been wanting to see / hear impressions & comparisons.

After other people chime in, let us know your own impressions and comparisons. It's so expensive, I doubt I'll ever try it myself

It comes from the factory like this. It is caused from the type of paint and the method of how the paint was sprayed.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's the paint being sprayed, because of strict environmental laws manufactures aren't allowed to use as much solvent as they used to so the paint doesn't level out as well.

Btw OP, seems like the wax gives great reflections, I bet it would really look great on a car with less orange peel.

Hate to say it but you can achieve the same deep look with SW Concorso and even Onyx... BUT durability and protection may be completely different. Other than that it looks perfect.

A few things can cause prange peel.
1. Spraying to dry or too far from the surface
2. Drying to fast
3. Improperly mixed clear

I'd say Chrysler allows this level of peel to speed drying times and to reduce the amount of dust that can settle in the paint while curing.

My point is that I can get the same shine from Zaino, Souveran, or Natty's. This is a $580 can of wax. I expected it to be the 2nd wettest shine I have seen. Why second, I havent seen a Royale application in person yet, Vintage was also a flop.

If you are asking for opinions on how the photos look, they look good to me. I can't say it looks any better than my black car with PB Natty's Blue on it. But IMO it's impossible to tell the subtle differences between waxes in posted photos unless you do a side-by-side of one versus the other on the same panel. Swissvax gets great reviews and appears to repel water extremely well, based on videos I've seen of it.

I hope this is the case. Should it repel water, I can offer it praise. But like you said, I cant tell the difference between this and Natty's Blue or Souveran.

There is no doubt the paint looks good, but I don't know if you wouldn't told me you used a $600 wax I would have known. It is hard to judge by pictures, but it looks very sealant like to me. I was expecting more depth and richness from Mystery, but if you are happy then that is what matters. But IMO, not worth the $600...
