Fits Pre-LCI: Black leatherette. Folds forward to reach the higher gears more comfortably, and springs open, instead of manually lifting and crashing down. Even posted a video years ago when I installed it:

Also, I couldn't find the gear that came with it, it might have fallen into a the vent or something when I took it last out lat night. But I'm pretty sure it's the spring part that makes it stand up on its own.

It should definitely not be stuck too badly. There's 2 prongs that hold it in, so it just pulls straight out. Maybe yours has been in there since the beginning of time, and it needs to be forced out
