Can someone please give me a estimate on my HP/TQ?

I would like to figure out what kind of power I'm
Putting down without going to the dyno. Here's a list of my mods.

2011 N55
PPK software
JB4
ETS charge pipe
VRSF 5" stepped intercooler
AFE cold air intake

Any figures are appreciated.

Thank you.

I would say somewhere around 320-330hp, unfortunately the N55s don't make as much power N54s with just bolt ons and a tune.

Boost (map) and fuel will be the biggest determining factors. Without that information 300 - 350 whp.

map? fuel? 91 in san diego blows, but e40 you should see some more ponies. Stock downpipe on 91, with similar mods, I got like 330ish if I can recall correctly. Every car is different though.

wtobiason, listen to sebasupreme. Get rid of your inferior N55 and get yourself a superior N54 with 100 k miles on it, and get 30 whp more for the same mods and tune. Or listen to BJ33, and get a Camaro. Far superior and more reliable to either the N54 or N55.

If by "Superior" you mean getting the extra 30whp with one of the most unreliable engines BMW has made, i'd rather take my chances with my "Slow" N55.
Flamesuit on

OP:
The Downpipe is a big factor when it comes to making more power. Unfortunately, with FBO and E85 your car will max out around 370whp. Then again, you can go Pure Stage 2 and smoke most "Sports Cars" out there
Good Luck

No need for a flamesuit. I for one am tired of lame you know what N54 guys coming here espousing N54 superiority. N55 with Pure 2 and proper surrounding mods will likely cream 90 + percent of N54 cars.

The N54 engine is much better than the N55, it's everything attached to the N54 that has problems.

Go to the drag strip, give me your results and the weight of your car with you in it, and I'll tell you your horsepower.

Why do people list "charge pipe" as a horsepower mod? It is just durability mod and has nothing to do with raising horsepower. Same goes with intercooler, stock one is fine, there is no HP increase with bigger intercooler.

AFE cold air intake is the worst mod done it is actually a hot air intake. Stock airbox is true cold air intake and works fine, it is not restrictive.

Only HP gain here is JB4 and software because it raises boost level.

I never said the N54 was superior to the N55, all I simply said was that N55s don't make as much power as N54s, I have an N55 and I love it. I'd rather have an N55 that's a bit slower than have a car with 30 more whp and unreliable engine problems. Both however, are magnificent cars.

Seba, check out the numbers on the Pure 2 installs. Many at 500 plus. Eventually we will see 600 + on N55. Sure there are a few 800 on N54. All what, six of them. And is that much really practical on the street?

390whp is achievable. Depends on mods and conditions. The guy put down 391whp with E40 and FBO. You'll have to search here or on the FB group: 135i, 335i, 535i group.
