Combox Retrofit for CIC

Okay so have spent hours today trying to find all the part numbers for the bits I would need for the Combox retrofit but it all seems to be quite confusing with various part numbers. Hope someone could help and give me a list of what I would need.

Currently have CIC iDrive with Bluetooth and am able to play DVDs, it has the USB in the glove box and just the AUX in the armrest. Maps on there are from 2009 so I am guessing nothing has been updated since November 2009 on the car, it is an E93.

Thanks in advance
Gaz

I think your cic needs to be compatible with a combox mate and don't think a 2009 would be. To be compatible, it needs to be a late one (2010? - someone will need to confirm). Or you can ask someone to update the firmware on your cic so it'll work with the combox.

Unsure on part numbers but a search should sort that out

Thanks for the reply mate, have sorted it now. Needs to be updated and then the combox can be installed.

I know you will need a new cable to go from the armrest USB to combox. It's silly money for it too, but there is a different one you can buy that does the same thing but a lot cheaper. The info is out there somewhere cause I found it when buying my bits, I'll see if I can find my old paperwork for when I ordered it

Thanks Mate, Simon is sorting my CIC/Map updates for me and he said he might be able to come down to install my combox and related wiring for me.
