jb4 harness installed without board

Does anyone know if the jb4 harness can be plugged into all the connections but does not have the board connected?

the reason I'm asking is because its confirmed that my board is faulty and I am sending it back to bms to be checked out. Also, the boost connection is difficult for me to reach so I'm hoping to be able to leave it all in place.

Or do I need to unplug the whole thing, and reinstall after I get the board back?

You would need the board installed for it to run or just pull the harness until you get the board back.

I wish they would make a bypass connector that would complete the circuit for the plugs so we can remove the jb4 and install the bypass and not have to dig in to unplug the flexfuel connector which is a pain to get to the rest are easy

Never tried it but I strongly recommend you just remove the whole thing

Yeah, i'm having trouble reaching the boost solenoid connection. So if I can get another board to just stick it in its place until I get my other board back, I'll just do that instead, so its easier for me.

I already have the JB4 set to Map 0 so its disabled anyways, so should be ok right?

No,

Without the board, you have (in an overly generalized statement) an open circuit.
